Dublin City University Snow Sports society was established 10 years ago by students for students with a passion for winter sports in particular skiing and snowboarding. Since its launch the society has grown exponentially in numbers and continues to do so year on year making it one of DCUs largest societies with over 700 Members.
The Aim of DCU Snow sports Society is to be inclusive and to make a traditionally “elitist” sport into something easily accessible for all students regardless of their background or socioeconomic standing, giving equal opportunities to all while promoting a sport that we love.
DCU Snow Sports society brings like minded free-spirited individuals together to enhance college life through friendships and experiences
We hold DCUs biggest abroad trip with last year having brought over 200 students to Les arcs for a week of skiing and partying on the mountain. We also brought over 3 big Irish DJs in Boots & Kats, Quinton Campbell and Mark Blair to play for us exclusively in clubs throughout the week.
Every week we hold skiing and boarding lessons at the dry slopes in kilternan. aided by qualified instructors they cater to all levels whether your a pro or you've never seen snow in your life and couldn't tell a pizza from a French fry we'll have ya flying down the slopes in no time.
Snow Pong Tournament
Every year we flock to our sacred grounds of Nubar to hold a 3 week long snowpong tournament where teams of 2 battle it out for the top prize of a FREE SKI TRIP. Just search DCU snowsports snowpong for highlights of the madness throughout the years.
