Does the club only fence epee?
No. While we mostly fence epee, we are expanding into foil a the moment and you can always find someone willing to try their hand in sabre
What should i bring with me?
We would recommend a to bring comfortable sports clothes, runners a bottle of water, and even a friend
Is equipment provided?
Our club has all the equipment you need to get started until you feel ready to get your own gear.
Do I need any experience?
No, not at all. almost all of our members and many of the top fencers in the country started in college.

    About Fencing Club

    DCUFC is DCU's one and only fencing club for both beginners and experienced fencers! DCUFC primarily trains in épée and foil fencing, although club members can also try sabre.

    DCUFC supplies all protective gear and blades necessary to start at our training sessions at these times:
    Mondays: 8-10pm, Minor Hall - Beginner

    Tuesdays: 6-8pm, Handball Court - Mixed Skill (Uncoached)

    Thursdays: 6-8pm, Arena, Court 2 - Advanced

    Sundays: 11am-1pm, Minor Hall - Mixed Skill (Uncoached)
    Our Monday Sessions are coached so perfect for beginners!

    We host and travel to competitions all around Ireland where we compete against other universities and clubs and we encourage all our fencers to take part in these events.
