The Industry Leader Lecture is a conference where engineering managers from a variety of different Companies and Organisations will be invited to come to DCU and make a small speech approximately 10 minutes in length talking about their roles at work and a day in the life of their employees, which will give students a better understanding as to what sort of career area may interest them and a better insight into what their future holds. At the end of the conference there will be a short Q&A session, where the students can find out a bit more about life at the different speakers’ respective companies. S209 will be a private room booked in advance for the speakers to wait and prepare beforehand. A committee member will be ready to welcome each speaker and show them where they'll be speaking and where they can wait beforehand. Light refreshments will be provided both before and after the talk.

About Engineering Society

Many call us the social side of engineering in DCU. We provide an escape for students from their high impact engineering life and also show non-engineering students how fun engineering can be!

During the year, we run loads of events from workshops (Makerspaces), coffee mornings, social nights, seminars, trips away and anything else we can think of. We aim to cater for all interests so if you have any ideas or suggestions, we are open ears. Come and talk to us at one of our events or send us a message on any of our social media platforms.
