DCU Canoe Clubs 2nd river trip of the year will be on the 30th of November on the lovely river Liffey! We hope to see you there and get you onto some moving water! Keep an eye out on our socials for details.
You have to have attended at least one of our pool sessions for this trip unless you already have your Canoeing Ireland Kayak Skills Level 2 award.
Full rental gear and qualified Canoeing Ireland instructors are included in the ticket price of only €10. Sign-up is required! More details on where to get your ticket will follow.
Make sure to bring layers: Thermals or an old t-shirt, swimwear, and shoes to get wet! If you have a Wetsuit bring yours but if not we can provide you with a wetsuit. Don't forget warm clothes for afterwards!!

Following the success from our previous Bunmahon trip, we have decided to make a return! That's right! Bunmahon pt. 2!
We will be returning to the lovely 'Greenway and Copper Coast Hostel' right next to the waterfront to make it as easy as possible for hauling around all the gear for a cheeky bit of kayak-surfing!
We will be leaving Friday afternoon (15th of November) from the DCU Sports Grounds (for anyone who's been attending the pool sessions it'll be the same pickup spot) and coming back Sunday evening (17th of November) to DCU. The trip will cost 50 euro, which covers:
-Accommodation
-Travel
-Kayaking Gear
-Memories to be made (and/or forgotten!)
What to bring for sure:
-Wetsuit if you have one (if not one will be provided)
-Warm clothes!
-Some spare change for the food shop/pub/meals eaten out
-Fancy dress (keep an eye on our socials!)
-good humor and craic!
We will stop on the way down for a big food shop (and beverages), but maybe bring some *hydration* for the bus up, if you want. We have a Dress-up Theme for the Saturday night party where the theme will be announced closer to the date!

On Saturday, the 5th of October, DCU Canoe Club will be holding our annual Freshers Trip to Malahide. We will meet at 10 am at the container behind the Library (Container Location Link HERE ). We plan to leave for Malahide at 10:30 am sharp to be in Malahide at 11:00, so we need everyone to be bang on time; otherwise, you may be left behind. We will provide lifts to and from Malahide from the container on the day and should be back at the container around 17:30
What should I bring?
You do not need any experience kayaking before this trip but you have to have been to at least one pool session beforehand! We will teach all the basics to get you going and play a few chill games that utilise the skills we teach on the day. We ask that you only come if you are a capable swimmer and have paid your membership fee.
