Not Wet Wednesdays

Day Wednesdays
From 20:00, to 22:00
Cost FREE
Type VIRTUAL Activity

Every Wednesday we will be running our very own SHITE NIGHT sessions over Zoom.

For those of you who don't know, Shite Night is a Nubar tradition, which involves a lot of guilty pleasure music, questionable dance moves and of course Jack Slats. As this can't take place this year DCUCC are organising our own version to keep the tradition alive.

Each week our session will be hosted by two different committee members, who will be running a themed event for us.

These sessions are going to be such an amazing way for you to get to know other members in the club, have a bit of craic and get involved!

This week we are going to be doing Yoga with Ev and Dav. Make sure you join and take part.

Canoe Polo Training in the Royal Canal

Day Saturdays
From 11:00, to 13:00
Cost FREE
Max 20 attendees
Type IN-PERSON Activity

Location: Royal Canal Kayak Club Centre in Ashtown

The Canoe Club is now having Canoe Polo training sessions on Saturday mornings this semester from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

Canoe Polo is basically water polo but in a kayak and is fierce fun! The Saturday morning training sessions will give you more opportunities to improve your paddling skills and get a taste for the more competitive side of kayaking.

We have our polo training sessions outdoors in the Royal Canal at the Royal Canal Kayak Club Centre in Ashtown. You can either meet us at our containers, on the Glasnevin campus behind the library, at 10:00am for a lift to and from the Canal, or you can get the train to Ashtown and meet us at the Royal Canal Kayak Club Centre before 11:00am.

Make sure to book your spot on Eventbritre, the link for which will be found in the weekly email from the Canoe Club.

For safety reasons you need to be able to swim to come to these training sessions and we recommend coming to one of our pool sessions first before coming to a polo session, to get a feel for the basic kayaking techniques.

All you need to bring are a change of clothes, swimming togs and an old t-shirt.
