Accessibility in Technology Design

During this webinar, we will delve into the fundamentals of designing and engineering technology and interfaces that are accessible for those with disabilities, and look at why accessibility engineering is the future of technology.
We will also look at the challenges (and advantages) of being disabled in the technology industry, and what the sector needs to do to enable more disabled and neurodiverse people access and succeed in STEM careers.
Speakers:
Rachel Clancy is an art director and game designer with an MA in Independent Games & Playable Experience Design. In 2018 she was awarded the Sky Women In Technology Scholarship to develop A Hero's Guide To Gardening - an interactive narrative game for kids, designed to help players develop their emotional literacy and begin a conversation about positive mental health. She is a queer woman and was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.
Anne-Marie McCullagh is a Sr Technical Analyst with 12 years experience at HMH; a company focused on learning technology and dedicated to improving student outcomes in the K-12 education market.
