"WHIWT" Coffee morning

Good Morning,


Today we'll be hosting the first of our informal coffee morning discussions, it will be occurring this afternoon at 2pm in the Hive as the result of some unique organizational challenges.


Regardless of the time of day, you'll still be able to enjoy tea, coffee and snacks while getting to know each other, discussing current affairs and enjoying a nice break.

DCU IRSOC AGM 2023/2024

*First event of the year is here!!!*

Our Society AGM will take place on September 28th 2023 in KA113 in the U building. We will have elections for the three outstanding positions on our committee aswell as a vote on a new and improved constitution, you will also have the chance to hear about all the events we have planned, so far, this year.

So please join us for a fun night of elections and chat, even if you don't plan on going for a position, and there will also be ? and ? on the night too!

? Calling all IR and Politics students ?

Interested in a career in international relations? Be it diplomacy, security, intelligence or terrorism, and looking for advice on how to get there? If so we have just the event for you!

This Wednesday at 6pm in CG01 (Henry Grattan, DCU Glasnevin campus) we are delighted and privileged to welcome some of your favourite Law and Government faculty members for a round-table discussion on their careers and how you can make your own way in the field. Our sincerest thanks to Profs. Ó Beacháin and Conway and Dr. Biagini for taking the time to speak to us for what promises to be an enlightening and engaging event.

What is happening in Palestine?

This Wednesday, we are delighted to welcome Zaid Al-Barghouthi, Chair of the TCD BDS Implementation Group. Zaid has graciously agreed to come and talk to us about recent developments in Palestine and the BDS campaign, which have somewhat taken a back-seat in terms of the world's attention. He will also provide tips for those seeking to promote justice for Palestinians.

This promises to be an enlightening and informative event for those interested in Palestine and looking to get involved in campaigning.

International Relations Society AGM

Hello everyone!

It's time to elect our new committee. Next Wednesday 5th of October 6 pm, we will have our AGM. The committee positions of Treasurer, Secretary, Events Officer and First Year Rep are up for grabs. Think one of these positions might be a bit of you? Pop along to KA104 (U building, first floor) next week and have your say. Refreshments will be supplied. Also, if you can't make it for whatever reason, there will be a Zoom link.
