Welcome to Students for Justice in Palestine. SJP is a society that has been in operation on DCU since 2018. Although we are a young society we have worked hard to be seen and heard on campus. In our first year we held a referendum on the topic of BDS (Boycott, Disinvestment and Sanctions) and DCU voted by over 80% in support of the Palestinian people and their plight.
We aim to open the conversation up for students so that they can be more confident about discussing these issues and making a difference. The political question of Palestine and Apartheid Israel is one fraught with controversy and stigma but by engaging in open discussions we hope to take away any uncertainty students may have about discussing the issues.
The society regularly engages in both local and national activism to raise awareness and gather support for Palestine.
Join us and help make a difference you can be proud of.
If you have any questions about joining feel free to send us an email or contact us on Facebook.
