We will be introducing the SVP society and the committee, discussing the events we will be running this year and will be electing new members to the committee. The first year rep represents all the first years in the society and helps the committee plan events. We will also be elected a Safety Officer who will be in charge of Garda vetting forms & Covid safety during in person events. A Covid training course will be provided as this is a really important role this year! If you're interested in either position or want to learn more about the society please join us!

Sustainable Fashion Workshop

SVP are collaborating with the Sustainable Living society to bring you a workshop on Sustainable Fashion. Our fantastic guest speaker Daire from SVP  will explore the stages involved in the manufacture, design and sale of clothing.  We will also examine the environmental and human impact of these stages, such as on biodiversity, climate stability, working conditions, economics, gender equality, etc and consider the link between the above and the work of the Vincent’s shops. To show them that they are not alone, SVP have teamed up with the RAG society to write letters filled with hope and support to the residents and staff of local nursing homes.
