The idea is based around swapping clothes rather than buying new ones, ensuring fashion is not only more sustainable for the planet but also everyone's pocket!

The swap shop is a sustainable living society event where students can come and go to swap good quality second-hand clothes. The aim is to reduce waste and overconsumption of clothes. People can come and drop off clothes and swap them for clothes in our shop or simply pick clothes up on their way past. All clothes we take in our kept aside for a week until the following swap shop to ensure they are safe to swap.
It is a Covid safe event as all people will be wearing masks and there will be a constant movement of people avoiding any overcrowding.
We will ensure we have hand sanitizer and our Covid officer on hand to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely. The event ran last year during Covid-19 and there were no issues.
