This is our annual general meeting we will be electing our new committee members for our 24/25 committee! Surf Trip to Lahinch 

Depart DCU 11am 

Arrive at west codge lodge for 4pm 

Surf Lessons will be on Saturday and Sunday

Depart West coast Lodge at 1pm 

Arrive in DCU for 5pm 

Surf trip to mayo from 23rd of February to 25th of February.

We are staying in big style Atlantic lodge.

We will leave dcu at 11am on the friday.

We will return to dcu on the sunday at 4pm

This event is a team racing compitition between 9 irish collages. there is a team of 6 racing with 2 subs. Racing usually takes place from 10am to 4pm day 1 and 9am to 12am day 2. It is being hosted by dingle sailing club. We will be staying in dingle, within walking distance of the harbour. We will be traveling from DCU helix on friday. before setting off there will be a safety breifing to highling all relivent safety procidures, as well as to had out emergancy contact information. Accomidation will be paid on arrival to Breda O'Shea.

DCU Surf’n’sail will be giving DCU students the opportunity to try out sailing. There will be 2 sessions, the first @12pm-4pm within our charity 24-hour sail event on the 11th and the 2nd session on the 25th March. All levels of sailing experience are welcome, with qualified instructors from our own sailing team teaching, helping to improve skills and acting as safety cover. To do both sessions will be €30 or €20 per session.

IUSA Westerns Sailing Event.

Hey guys, we are starting to hold monthly sea swims through out semester 2 for Mental Health

Each month we will swim at a new location

Our first sea swim of semester 2 is in Bull Island (February 4th 1pm)

We will meet at Happy Out Cafe at 1pm and head there for a coffee and food afterwards

If any of you drive we would suggest carpooling with friends (We will leave a google form below for people willing to carpool to the swim)

For anyone travelling from DCU there's different options to get to Bull Island (The 13 on Ballymun Road & the 41c at Whitehall Church will take you into the City Centre where the 130 Bus from Talbot Street takes you straight to Bull Island)

With final exams and assignments coming up we know it can be a stressful time. It's a great way to clear your heads, enjoy the Irish sea and make friends!

This event will be held on Wednesday 24th of March over zoom We will be breaking people up into breakout rooms named after famous pubs in Dublin but there's a twist!

Each breakout room will have a unique rule. This will help break the ice and help people get to know each other!

It’s time for our Annual General Meeting

You'll get to meet the new committee (defiantly won't be turned into a drinking game), find out our plan for the year, vote for changes in the constitution (defiantly won't be turned into a drinking game) and most importantly.... elect a new first year rep.

Every year a first year is elected and joins our committee. They're there to help with the running of the club and encourage other first years to get involved. Many a first year rep has gone on to be re-elected to the committee the following year, and the year after, and so on and so forth. Well worth going for!!!

And how do you run for first year rep you may ask? It's simple - in true Sn'S fashion, you tell an embarrassing/outrageous story, we all laugh and the whole club votes. Don't worry, our previous first year reps will tell their story's first as examples. (e.g. something about loving polish boys in airport security...)

After all the important stuff is over, you'll be broken into breakout groups with a committee member in each one to allow for a more intimate bonding session and more drinking.
