20th Feb Generation Change Fundraiser Rachel Kenny (Chairperson)

Hey guys,

Volunteer Overseas Chairperson, Rachel Kenny, is doing 50km paddling in a kayak during the month of March to raise money for education programs for people in direct provision and also refugees living in Iraq. We have previously done an event with SCOOP Foundation where they spoke about the Generation Change program along with their other important projects on both a national and international level.

All donations are greatly appreciated as we know it has been a very touch year for everyone. Link it donate is also provided on the poster, https://generationchange.ie/campaigns/rachel-kenny/  We will keep you update on how the fundraiser is going as we progress through the Month of March. We would love if you could support in any way that you can and keep up with Rachels progress in her training and preparation before the event kicks off on 1st of March.

Wishing you all the best,

Volunteers Overseas Committee

About Volunteer Overseas

DCU Volunteer Overseas is a society set up to provide the opportunity for students to volunteer and make a difference on an international level. Partnering with established charities to provide such an experience, our aim is to create change in communities that need help. This year, we plan to partner with a local Irish charity The Light of Maasai to volunteer in Kenya, in the summer. While there, our group will be participating in a number of projects, for example, completing needed restoration work on a school, talking to children in local schools and working with Light of Maasai on their projects. We are also planning to have a variety of different events and fundraisers throughout the year
