The DCU FLAC Society is a student branch of the independent Free Legal Aid Centre (FLAC) Ireland, an organisation dedicated to promoting equal access to justice for all. Our society shares this mission by providing free and accessible legal advice to DCU students, ensuring that legal assistance is available to those who it may be inaccessible to or those who may need it most.
At DCU FLAC, we strive to offer a service like that of national FLAC, operating monthly mock legal clinics where students can seek guidance on various legal matters. These clinics are led by a qualified legal professional, allowing students to anonymously submit legal queries in a safe and supportive environment. Each month, we focus on a different area of law that aligns with the new DCU FLAC newsletter, ensuring our sessions remain relevant and informative. These FLAC clinics are open to all DCU students, regardless of membership status.
For those who choose to become FLAC Society members, we offer exclusive access to additional resources and events designed to enhance their understanding of the legal field and provide networking opportunities. Benefits include:
Whether you're a law student seeking practical insights or someone simply interested in learning more about legal rights and access to justice, the DCU FLAC Society is here to support, educate, and empower you!
Join us in promoting legal awareness and equal access to justice!
